Peter Yoo

Lead Education, EM, & Youth Pastor
Born in South Korea and raised in Southern California (The City of Angels), Pastor Peter is a collector of degrees and student loans. Dental school dropout turned MBA graduate, he finally surrendered to God’s divine call to pastoral ministry. After graduating with his MDiv at Fuller Theological Seminary, he met and married the love of his life, his beautiful wife Yoonie, on the 103rd day after the first day he laid eyes on her. He sometimes gets mistaken for one of Korea’s top actors and Marvel’s “Eternals” Gilgamesh movie star Ma Dong-Seok, especially by his own daughter Abby, and he is known to use the hashtag #madongseoklookslikeme.
P. Peter is often caffeinated, but also genuinely thrilled by the faith movements active and alive globally and across the Bay Area. He is passionate about teaching the Bible and equipping followers of Jesus to lead others to Christ. His hope is for the followers of Christ to not just survive in this world, but thrive in their faith and identity in Christ. He might not admit it, but when he gets behind the wheel he likes to unleash his inner gospel divo and vibe to the beats that preach truth.
